The ATC P1 is a compact high-end stereo power amplifier with a dual-mono design, derived directly from the amplifier technology used in ATC studio monitors. It has been developed to drive passive loudspeakers with high control, neutrality, and dynamics, while maintaining the typical ATC philosophy of unadulterated, studio-oriented reproduction.

Inside, it utilizes a Class A/B circuit with completely separate channels (dual mono), allowing both channels to deliver high power independently of each other. This architecture ensures very low crosstalk, high channel separation, and a stable, precise soundstage even with complex music signals.

The amplifier section is derived directly from ATC’s active loudspeaker systems and is designed for high bandwidth, low distortion, and fast transients. As a result, the music signal remains extremely controlled and dynamic, without artificial coloration or compression.

Typical of the P1 is its neutral, highly transparent reproduction: it barely alters the signal and allows recordings to pass through in their original form. At the same time, it offers sufficient power and current delivery capability to confidently drive even more demanding loudspeakers.

The P1 is handcrafted in England and is intended as a classic two-device solution (pre-amplifier and power amplifier) or in combination with ATC pre-amplifiers such as the CA2 or SCA2. This makes it particularly suitable for high-quality hi-fi and studio-oriented systems where control and neutrality are paramount.
