The ATC P2 is a high-performance, high-end stereo power amplifier featuring an uncompromising dual-mono design, developed for demanding hi-fi and studio applications. It represents the larger and significantly more powerful version of the P1 and is engineered to drive even very power-hungry loudspeakers with authority and control.

Inside, it utilizes a Class A/B MOSFET amplifier architecture, derived directly from the technology used in ATC studio monitors. Both channels feature completely separate signal paths and power supplies, achieving maximum channel separation, minimal crosstalk, and very stable power delivery – even with complex musical signals or low impedances.

Typical of ATC is the P2’s extremely wide bandwidth and very low distortion. As a result, the signal remains clear, dynamic, and uncolored even at high volume levels. Transients are processed quickly and precisely, ensuring a very controlled, "fast" playback, which is especially beneficial for dynamic music or large orchestral recordings.

The P2 is designed for both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs and can be flexibly combined with ATC preamplifiers such as the CA2 Mk2 or SCA2. Due to its high current output capability, it is also well-suited for difficult loudspeaker loads and large rooms.

In terms of sound, the P2 follows the typical ATC philosophy: absolutely neutral, highly controlled, and without any artificial coloration – more like a studio tool than a classically "colored" hi-fi amplifier.
