ATC SCM40A – Active 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker for the highest demands

The ATC SCM40A combines the sonic virtues of the award-winning SCM40 with the advantages of fully active loudspeaker technology. Each driver is driven directly by a specially tuned Class AB power amplifier, eliminating losses caused by passive crossovers. The result is exceptionally precise, dynamic, and controlled music reproduction with impressive naturalness and authenticity.

At the heart of the SCM40A is the legendary 75mm ATC soft dome midrange driver, which reproduces voices and instruments with extraordinary clarity and presence. It is supported by a 164mm woofer and a 25mm neodymium soft dome tweeter with a precision waveguide. Thanks to the 3-way active technology and a total integrated amplifier power of 242 watts per speaker, the SCM40A achieves a level of authority and transient response that impresses even significantly larger loudspeaker systems.

The sealed enclosure ensures precise, fast bass without artificial over-emphasis and enables exceptionally coherent reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum. The SCM40A is excellently suited for ambitious HiFi systems and music lovers who wish to combine maximum sound quality with minimal equipment complexity.
