The latest update to the trusted AT33 series – the first comprehensive overhaul in years – brings new warmth and richness to your favorite music. Thanks to technological and material improvements, including the first-ever use of die-cast zinc at the cartridge base to eliminate unwanted resonance and improve expressiveness in the low-to-mid frequency range, the AT33x series cartridges allow you to hear the finest details across the entire audio spectrum.

With its nude Microlinear stylus and solid tapered boron cantilever, the AT33xMLB is able to capture even the most subtle details from the grooves of a record. This high-resolution tracking ability is particularly noticeable when listening to orchestral recordings, where you can distinguish every instrument in a piece, or when playing records manufactured since the late 1970s that benefit from advances in hi-fi recording and manufacturing technology. Our newly developed suspension mechanism uses piano wire for even better tracking accuracy and slightly lowers the dynamic compliance to achieve a fuller sound, especially in the low-to-mid frequency range.

The cartridge's composite body of die-cast zinc, aluminum, and high-strength polymer reduces and disperses resonance throughout the entire body, resulting in a balanced, natural sound reproduction without favoring specific frequencies. The dual moving coil design of the AT33x features independent PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coils for the left and right channels, ensuring excellent channel separation and pure, uniform signal transmission. A neodymium magnet and a Permendur yoke generate a strong magnetic field that maximizes power generation efficiency, resulting in responsive, high-resolution analog playback.

Like all cartridges in the AT33x series, the body of the AT33xMLB features threaded holes for easy mounting (only two screws required). These threaded holes are especially useful when mounting the cartridge to an integrated tonearm.
