For the first time in years, the relaunched AT33 series has been extensively revised to bring extra warmth, fullness, and detail to your favorite music. A new composite body made of die-cast zinc, aluminum, and high-strength polymer effectively reduces resonance and ensures balanced, natural reproduction across the entire frequency range.

The AT33xMLD uses a die-cast zinc base for the first time to suppress vibrations and strengthen the mid and low-frequency ranges in particular. Its microlinear nude stylus on a tapered duralumin cantilever tracks the groove with extreme precision, delivering a warm, detailed sound – ideal for rock and jazz recordings.

The newly developed suspension mechanism with piano wire improves tracking accuracy and ensures a more powerful sound thanks to slightly reduced dynamic compliance. The dual moving coil system with independent PCOCC coils for the left and right channels provides excellent channel separation, while a neodymium magnet with a Permendur yoke generates a strong magnetic field for dynamic, high-resolution reproduction.

Threaded holes make mounting easier – especially on integrated tonearms. The stylus is not user-replaceable, however, Audio-Technica offers a paid moving coil replacement program.
