The latest update to the trusted AT33 series – the first comprehensive overhaul in years – brings new warmth and fullness to your favorite music. Thanks to technological and material improvements, including the first-ever use of die-cast zinc at the base of the cartridge to suppress unwanted resonance and improve expressiveness in the low-to-mid frequency range, the AT33x series cartridges allow you to hear even the finest details across the entire audio spectrum.

The AT33xMONO/I features a "True Mono" dual moving coil design that is unaffected by vertical noise components picked up from the record groove, generating electrical signals only from horizontal movement. This results in an exceptionally clear mono sound with a more substantial bass range and reduced surface noise. The dual mono coil design is also ideal for mono playback on a stereo system.

The cartridge's composite body, made of die-cast zinc, aluminum, and high-strength polymer, reduces and distributes resonance throughout the entire body, resulting in a balanced, natural sound reproduction that does not favor any specific frequencies. PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coils ensure pure, uniform signal transmission, while the neodymium magnet and Permendur yoke (shaped for optimal monaural sound reproduction) create a strong magnetic field that maximizes power generation efficiency, leading to responsive, high-resolution analog playback.

Like all cartridges in the AT33x series, the body of the AT33xMONO/I features threaded holes for easy mounting (only two screws required). These threaded holes are particularly useful when mounting the cartridge to an integrated tonearm.
