We achieved this natural, full-spectrum sound by controlling every detail of the driver manufacturing process, from design and construction to final integration. Our HXDT molding process creates a 58 mm diaphragm with precise roundness—an accuracy that is essential for detailed musical enjoyment. We integrate the diaphragm with the other driver components (baffle, magnet, and voice coil), aligning their centers with exceptional accuracy. This ultra-precise alignment allows for more efficient energy transfer from the magnet through the coil to the diaphragm, which in turn gains greater freedom of movement.

The aluminum housing of the headphones features a hand-stamped honeycomb structure with closed sides to prevent lateral air pressure loss. To improve airflow to the diaphragm, the driver unit is optimally positioned within the housing using our proprietary Core Mount Technology. In combination, the HXDT and open-air design elements allow the entire sound output to come directly from the diaphragm, resulting in more accurate, dynamic, and detailed sound reproduction.

The ATH-ADX7000 headphones come with two sets of interchangeable earpads, made of high-density velvet and Alcantara, allowing listeners to customize their listening experience. The high-density velvet earpads suppress unwanted resonance and ensure a balanced sound. The Alcantara earpads are a more durable, luxurious alternative that enhances the bass and softens the treble.

The frame is made of a thin, rigid magnesium alloy, which provides strength and stability while keeping the weight of the headphones very low (275 g with velvet earpads, 265 g with Alcantara). The magnesium frame plays an important role in damping unnecessary vibrations generated by the driver's powerful new voice coil, thereby minimizing coloration and improving sound purity. The result is supreme comfort and uncompromising performance.

The headphones also feature two detachable 3.0 m (9.8') nylon-wrapped cables with A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors at the headphones: one balanced cable with a 4-pin XLRM connector, and one unbalanced cable with a 6.3 mm (1/4") gold-plated stereo plug. Each headphone is individually identified by a laser-engraved serial number and comes with a compact hard-shell storage case.
