Every tonearm is manufactured to the same rigorous precision standards as our turntables and is carefully hand-assembled with the signature craftsmanship you expect from AVID.

Providing stable support for your cartridge during record playback is of critical importance. That is why we have used our bespoke, ultra-rigid titanium tonearm tube, taking stability to a new level.

Our robust bearing architecture is essential for the reproduction of expansive, solid images. Therefore, every component is manufactured to incredibly tight tolerances.

Nexus will surprise you with its ability to reveal previously hidden musical nuances with sheer clarity, outstanding solidity, and precise, superior sound.

DUAL BIAS

Bias, also known as anti-skate, is a mechanism that counteracts the natural force pulling the tonearm toward the center of the record. If this force is not corrected, it can lead to uneven tracking and distorted sound.

Our research has shown that the required bias force varies across the surface of the record. Higher values are needed at the beginning and end of the record, with less force in the middle. Furthermore, the optimal bias setting depends on the stylus profile of the cartridge being used.

To compensate for these fluctuations, our V2 models feature a groundbreaking bias compensation system. This innovation allows for the independent adjustment of bias force at the beginning, middle, and end of the record, ensuring precise tracking and excellent sound quality across the entire playing surface.
