AVID PELLAR Phono Preamplifier

With the PELLAR, hi-fi fans have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the AVID analog world without an excessive investment. The extremely high-quality components are the same as those in the PULSUS phono stage, which allows the PELLAR to offer the homogeneous, detailed, and spatial sound typical of AVID. Background noise is exceptionally low, and distortion is barely measurable across the entire audible spectrum. A passive RIAA circuit with Neumann HF correction and particularly high-quality capacitors ensures a highly linear output signal.
For optimal adaptation to the cartridge being used, a switch located on the bottom of the unit allows for toggling between moving magnet systems and moving coil cartridges with low or high output levels. The input impedance is set to 47 kOhms—suitable for the vast majority of moving magnet cartridges—but can be changed to any other value using special RCA plugs with different resistors, which are available as accessories. Two additional RCA jacks specifically for this purpose are located on the rear of the unit; like the input and output connectors, these are gold-plated. A newly developed regulated power supply is integrated into the PELLAR to ensure a consistent power supply.
From the circuit board assembly and the high-quality chassis to testing and quality control, the unit is manufactured in our own factory. This ensures that the PELLAR can indulge listeners of analog records with the best sound quality at an exceptionally affordable price.
