A modern integrated amplifier: AS 2.3

In keeping with our tradition and the wealth of experience we have gained since the 1990s in developing compact all-in-one devices without sonic compromises, the new high-performance integrated amplifier INSPIRATION AS 2.3 has been created based on the AVM X-STREAM Engine®. Numerous innovations have been incorporated, and the new RC X App also provides complete control over the AS 2.3. Equipment stacks and overflowing cable clutter become a thing of the past; all modern connections are available, meaning a TV can also be connected via HDMI ARC. To achieve our goal of constructing one of the best-sounding integrated amplifiers on the global market in the smallest possible form factor, we have miniaturized proven audio technologies from our all-in-one flagship, the CS 8.3, and designed them into a screwless, precision-crafted aluminum housing that is only 34 cm wide.
A major focus was placed on completely modernized app control: the RC X App clearly contains all important functions. The simplest, intuitively learnable operation, as well as a clear and attractively designed user interface, make managing even large music collections child's play. This invites you to embark on voyages of discovery for new music on numerous streaming platforms. The AVM RC X App is available for both iOS (Apple) and Android devices.
The new AVM X-STREAM Engine® can stream all high-resolution formats, including DSD (256). This streaming engine is a complete in-house AVM development and is entirely software-based, making it future-proof and capable of being updated online. An HDMI (ARC) interface is on board, as is a modern Bluetooth 5.0 connection. Further digital inputs and a USB A interface are also standard. Additional attention was paid to the high-performance phono input stage for MM and MC. This high-precision input stage was completely redesigned for installation in the compact AS 2.3. This ensures even better sound, especially in combination with our ROTATION turntables. The digital outputs are completely new and can also be volume-controlled. TV sets can also be easily connected and conveniently controlled via the HDMI ARC input.
The AS 2.3 has also taken a great leap forward in terms of pure sound quality. This is based on the use of a 140-watt amplifier stage that effortlessly drives even power-hungry speakers at any volume. The completely new amplifier stages are based on the large CS 8.3 and have been optimized for use in the compact AS 2.3 housing.
The digital section in the AS 2.3 was re-imagined from the ground up during the development process, as this crucial part of the AS 2.3 is fundamentally based on our decades of experience. A selected ESS from the new generation (9038 Q 2 M) is now used here as a digital-to-analog converter, which is also a significant sonic gain that benefits all digital sources and reproduces all high-resolution formats perfectly and true to life.
The AS 2.3 units are available in the standard colors of silver or black aluminum, and upon request, also as an elegant CELLINI version with a chrome-plated and hand-polished front. Like all AVM Inspiration devices, the AS 2.3 units are manufactured purely by hand at our factory in Malsch. The vast majority of our suppliers, for example for the precision housing parts, are also located in the immediate vicinity. You are welcome to view our creation process in our 'making-of' video (QR code below).
Repeated, intensive quality controls during every production step and a multi-day break-in period for every single unit ensure our promise of long-term maximum reliability, and we provide a 2-year warranty on the compact integrated amplifier, with 2 additional years upon online registration.
