Wi-Fi only functions under optimal conditions; a wired LAN connection is not only the most secure connection from the router to the AVM X-Stream Engine, but it also offers sonic advantages. We at AVM provide no guarantee for uninterrupted Wi-Fi functionality, as we are not responsible for limiting factors (e.g., security settings) or the structure of the customer's network and environment.

We recommend placing Wi-Fi repeaters with a LAN output port near the AVM device and then establishing a connection via LAN cable. If using a Wi-Fi router or repeater, please ensure it is placed as far away as possible from interference-sensitive turntables and phono preamplifiers, as well as their connecting cables, to avoid unwanted interference.

AVM sales partners will be happy to assist you with advice on the installation of, for example, a repeater and the use of suitable cables.
