AVM 30.3: Preamplifier with streaming functionality

Our AVM 30.3 Neo Classics, following the tradition of our preamplifiers, are a modern interpretation continuing the line of amplifiers developed with uncompromising sound quality since the early 1990s.

The new PAS 30.3 preamplifier was created based on the AVM X-STREAM Engine®. Numerous innovations have been incorporated, and the new RC X APP also provides complete control over the PAS 30.3. Equipment stacks and overflowing cable clutter become obsolete; all modern connections are available, meaning a TV can also be connected via HDMI ARC. To achieve our goal of constructing one of the best-sounding preamplifiers in its class—featuring full streaming capabilities, digital and analog inputs, and a top-tier phono stage—we miniaturized proven audio technologies and designed them into a compact and slim precision housing.

The main focus was placed on completely modernized app control; the RC X App clearly contains all important functions. Extremely simple, intuitively learnable operation, as well as a clear and attractively designed user interface, make managing even large music collections child's play. This makes you want to go on discovery trips for new music on numerous streaming platforms. The AVM RC X App is available for both iOS (Apple) and Android-controlled devices.

The new AVM X-STREAM Engine® can stream all high-resolution formats, including DSD (256). This streaming engine is a complete AVM in-house development and is entirely software-based, thus allowing for future-proof online updates. An HDMI (ARC) interface is on board, as is a modern Bluetooth connection; further digital inputs and a USB A interface are also standard. Special attention was paid to the phono input stage for MM and MC. This high-precision input stage was completely redesigned for installation in the compact PAS 30.3. This ensures even better sound, especially in combination with our Rotation turntables. Completely new are the digital outputs, which can also be volume-controlled. TVs can also be easily connected and conveniently controlled via the HDMI ARC input.
In terms of sound, the PAS 30.3 also represents a huge leap forward. This technological leap is based on the use of AVM amplifier technologies, which we have been constantly refining sonically since the 80s. With its numerous connection options, the PAS 30.3 is practically prepared for every application.

The digital section in the PAS 30.3 was redesigned from the ground up in the course of the new development, as this crucial part of the PAS 30.3 is fundamentally based on our decades of experience. A selected ESS from the new generation (9038 Q 2 M) is now used as the digital-to-analog converter—also a significant gain in sound quality that benefits all digital sources and reproduces all high-resolution formats perfectly and true to life.

The PAS 30.3 is available in the standard colors silver or black, and on request also as an elegant CELLINI version with a chrome-plated and hand-polished front. Like all AVM devices, the PAS 30.3 is manufactured entirely by hand at our factory in Malsch. The vast majority of our suppliers are also based in the immediate vicinity. Repeated, intensive quality controls during all production steps and a multi-day break-in period for each individual device secure our long-term promise of highest reliability, and we provide a 2-year warranty on the compact PAS, with 2 additional years upon online registration.
