Your entry into the world of audiophile Cabasse coaxial speakers

At Cabasse, innovation is not a foreign word, even in the entry-level class. For this reason, the Cabasse Antigua MC170 features a two-way mid-high driver that is based on the driver used in the Cabasse Eole coaxial satellites and has been significantly refined. Its particularly low-coloration tonality and three-dimensional spatial imaging—which is incredibly realistic for this price point—are impressive in both stereo music playback and home cinema applications.

The specific shape of the 17-centimeter bass driver has been optimized by Cabasse for maximum mechanical rigidity. As a result, the driver reproduces low frequencies without distortion or coloration. The Kapton voice coil also contributes to this. It is perfectly ventilated, allowing for even higher power handling and faster response times. Both factors give the driver outstanding dynamic capabilities.

Info for tech fans: Fully automated production at Cabasse in France guarantees enormous reliability and minimal batch variance. This is important for consistently high performance. At Cabasse, not only is the frequency response on the listening axis measured in an anechoic chamber, but the entire 360° dispersion pattern is used to optimally tune the crossover. Through this approach based on the HDSE (Homogeneous Distribution of the Sonic Energy) principle, Cabasse achieves perfect control over the dispersion characteristics. This ensures that direct and reflected sound remain homogeneous, and the soundstage remains broad and stable. All for a superior music experience in your home.
