Canor Asterion V3 – High-End Tube Phono Preamplifier

The Canor Asterion V3 is a high-quality tube phono preamplifier for MM and MC cartridges and belongs to the Canor Performance Line. As the successor to the proven PH 2.10, it combines classic tube technology with modern circuit design and particularly flexible adjustment to various cartridges.

The Asterion V3 supports both unbalanced MM and MC connections as well as balanced MC connections via XLR. This allows the phono preamplifier to be optimally integrated into high-end analog hi-fi systems and flexibly combined with different turntables and cartridge systems.

The amplifier section utilizes ECC83S and ECC81 tubes. For the amplification of MC signals, Canor uses a high-quality Lundahl step-up transformer. The analog amplifier stages are designed without global feedback, while the RIAA equalization is passive. As a result, the Asterion V3 is consistently designed for high-quality and musical reproduction of vinyl records.

A special highlight is the extensive adjustability. The MC input impedance can be selected in eight steps between 10 and 1200 ohms. The input capacitance for MM cartridges can also be adjusted in several steps. The most important settings can be conveniently controlled via remote control.

With its combination of tube technology, Lundahl transformers, passive RIAA equalization, and flexible MM/MC adjustment, the Canor Asterion V3 is a sophisticated solution for vinyl lovers. It provides the prerequisites for precise, detailed, and musical reproduction and forms a high-quality interface between turntable and amplifier.
