Canor Gaia C2 – High-End Tube DAC and CD Player

The Canor Gaia C2 is a high-quality tube DAC and CD player that combines digital music playback with the characteristic musicality of high-end tube technology. This elegant, high-end digital device was developed for demanding music lovers who seek a particularly natural, detailed, and spatial reproduction of their digital music sources.

At the heart of the Canor Gaia C2 is a high-quality dual-mono DAC configuration with two PCM1792A D/A converters. Separate processing of the two channels enables precise and clearly structured playback. The integrated CD player allows for high-quality playback of classic audio CDs, while the Gaia C2 can simultaneously be used as a versatile external digital-to-analog converter.

In addition to the CD drive, numerous digital inputs are available. Various digital sources can be connected via USB-B, optical and coaxial S/PDIF connections, as well as AES/EBU. The USB interface supports high-resolution PCM signals up to 24-bit / 192 kHz as well as DSD up to DSD256.

For the analog output stage, Canor relies on an elaborately constructed tube circuit. The tube complement featuring 6922 (E88CC), 12AX7LPS, and 6CA4EH gives the digital signal a natural and musical characteristic. At the same time, the high-quality converters and carefully designed signal processing ensure high resolution and precise spatial imaging.

The internal architecture of the Canor Gaia C2 is consistently designed for high-quality signal processing. The digital and analog processing are carefully matched, while Canor's proprietary CMT technology (Canor PCB Milling Technology) is utilized in the development of the circuit boards.

With its combination of a high-end CD player, tube DAC, and versatile digital-to-analog converter, the Canor Gaia C2 is a central component for high-quality digital hi-fi systems. It combines modern high-resolution digital technology with the emotional and natural playback characteristics of a high-end tube output stage.
