The CLEAR Cygnus succeeds the CLEAR Light. That is no easy task, as it was the most successful cable in the CLEAR series in the US. The construction of the CLEAR Cygnus with four inner conductors is slightly less complex than that of the flagship CLEAR, yet it already possesses many of its sonic characteristics. The CLEAR Cygnus plays very naturally and is pleasantly detailed without sounding bright, offering a spacious presentation with increased holographic presence compared to the CLEAR Light. It requires a longer break-in period than, for example, a CLEAR Sky and initially sounds undefined and unharmonic after transport. This changes very significantly with increased operating time.

The CLEAR Cygnus relies on a quad-axial design in which four inner conductors are held in position by PFA tubes. The inner conductors themselves consist of enameled individual strands wound in multiple layers in opposite directions around a Kevlar core. As is typical for Cardas, these strands are arranged in the Golden Ratio in their size relationship to one another and to the surrounding insulators. The CLEAR Cygnus is double-shielded and yet very flexible.

Termination options:

The cable is available balanced with NEUTRIK XLR connectors or unbalanced with Cardas GRMO RCA connectors. For the XLR version, Cardas CG XLR connectors are available as a premium upgrade. The cable and the RCA connectors are sourced from the USA, and it is terminated by hand in Bandon (Oregon, USA).
