The Cardas Iridium is the successor to the immensely successful Microtwin and offers a sonic evolution at a comparable price. The cable comes from the Cross series and uses four conductor bundles made of individually enameled Litz wires arranged in the Golden Ratio, which are stranded in opposite directions. Carbon-impregnated PFA tape is used for positioning, and a spiral-wrapped cable serves as additional shielding. The Iridium is a warm and natural-sounding cable with a tight—and, unlike older Cardas designs—decidedly not bloated bass. The use of a TPE jacket makes the cable very flexible.

Termination Options

The cable is available balanced with Neutrik XLR connectors or unbalanced with Cardas GRMO RCA connectors. Both the cable and the RCA connectors are sourced from the USA, and the cable is hand-terminated in Bandon, Oregon, USA.
