The Cardas Iridium is the successor cable to the enormously successful Microtwin and offers a sonic evolution at a comparable price. The cable comes from the Cross cable series and uses four conductor bundles made of individually enameled strands arranged in the Golden Ratio, which are stranded in opposite directions. Carbon-impregnated PFA tape is used for positioning, and a spiral cable serves as additional shielding.

The Iridium is a cable with a warm and natural sound, featuring a dry bass—and unlike older Cardas designs—definitely not an opulent one. The use of a TPE jacket makes the cable very flexible. The phono version of the Cardas Iridium uses a single cable of the Iridium Interconnect in a balanced configuration.
