The Iridium Power is the entry point into the Cardas cable line and plays very much in the tradition of classic Cardas cables. It has a warm and very natural basic character, is a little bit rounder and more powerful in the bass, and somewhat more forgiving in the treble range. The soundstage is pleasantly large, but is not presented in front of and behind the speakers in the same way as with the power cables of the CLEAR series.

The HF filtering is only installed for the phase and neutral conductors. The protective conductor is not filtered separately. Like all Cardas cables, the Iridium Power is shielded. The cable is very flexible and thus also powers hard-to-reach devices. The use of the very high-quality Cardas plugs is likely unique in this price range.

Termination options

The Iridium Power comes standard with Cardas power plugs. These feature pure copper contacts that are first silver-plated and then vapor-deposited with rhodium. The standard configuration includes a Type 3455RS Schuko plug and a Type 3455R IEC connector.

Upon request, a 20 A connector (Type C19) can be supplied for high-power electronics. Such a connector is used, for example, in specific devices from manufacturers such as Audia Flight, Jeff Rowland, and T+A.

American power plugs are also available for the input side upon request.
