Cayin CP6 – Mobile High-End CD Player with Tube Technology

The Cayin CP6 is an exceptional portable high-end CD player that combines classic CD playback with modern digital technology, high-quality tube technology, and a powerful headphone amplifier. This compact device is aimed at music lovers who want to enjoy their CD collection on the go or flexibly within their home HiFi system.

At the heart of the Cayin CP6 are two selected Raytheon JAN6418 NOS tubes, which allow for three different sound characteristics: Classic Tube, Modern Tube, and Solid-State. The sound modes can be used flexibly for the headphone output, the line output, and Bluetooth output, allowing the sound tuning to be individually adjusted to personal taste and connected headphones.

The integrated, fully balanced 4-channel headphone amplifier operates in either Class A or Class AB and supports headphones with an impedance of 8 to 600 ohms. For flexible use, both an unbalanced 3.5 mm connection and a balanced 4.4 mm output are available.

The Cayin CP6 also impresses as a modern digital player with extensive features. The dual-DAC architecture with two Cirrus Logic CS4308P and the XMOS XU316 USB processor enable high-resolution playback. Via USB, the CP6 supports PCM up to 32-bit / 384 kHz as well as native DSD up to DSD256.

Thanks to Bluetooth 5.4, the Cayin CP6 can be used as both a Bluetooth transmitter and a Bluetooth receiver. Supported codecs include LDAC, aptX Adaptive, and aptX HD. Additionally, the CP6 offers optical and coaxial digital outputs, allowing it to be easily integrated into an existing HiFi system.

Another special feature is the ability for lossless CD ripping to USB storage media. This allows CDs to be digitized directly via the CP6, with the music data then available for flexible use.

The integrated 7300 mAh battery allows for mobile operation of up to 7.5 hours, depending on the operating mode and output. Alternatively, the CP6 can be operated via an external DC power supply. The high-quality aluminum housing, the 2.3-inch color display, and the special anti-shock CD mechanism round off the extensive equipment.
