Cayin HA-1A MK3 – Tube Headphone Amplifier

The Cayin HA-1A MK3 is a high-quality tube headphone amplifier using classic single-ended class A technology. It combines the characteristic, musical sound of a tube circuit with high output power and versatile connection options for modern high-end headphones.

For amplification, two JJ 12AU7/ECC82 are used in the voltage amplification stage and two Electro-Harmonix EL84EH/6BQ5 in the power amplification stage. The output stage operates in single-ended class A mode. High-quality output transformers, specially developed for the HA-1A MK3, as well as an elaborately designed power supply, support dynamic and detailed reproduction.

The Cayin HA-1A MK3 features both a classic 6.35 mm headphone output and a balanced 4-pin XLR output. With the two impedance ranges Low (8–150 ohms) and High (151–600 ohms), the amplifier can be optimally matched to different headphones.

Additionally, the HA-1A MK3 offers an RCA input and an RCA preamp output, making it flexible for integration into an existing Hi-Fi system. The combination of tube technology, high output power, and high-quality point-to-point hand wiring makes the Cayin HA-1A MK3 a versatile solution for discerning headphone enthusiasts.
