Cayin N3-Ultra HR Player with Tube Technology

At CanJam New York 2024, Cayin presented the N3-Ultra, a sensational high-resolution digital audio player that builds on the success of its predecessor, the N3-Pro. The new Cayin N3-Ultra continues to integrate Raytheon JAN 6418 vacuum tubes and is characterized by an improved circuit and structural design specifically optimized for the use of tubes in portable devices.

Users can choose between Classic and Modern tube timbres, allowing for a customized listening experience. Technical highlights include dual AKM 4493S DAC chips, an NJW1195A analog volume control, and a maximum output power of 600 mW. The Android-based player features a 4.1-inch HD TFT LCD touchscreen and an optimized user interface. A special feature is the ability to use the 4.4mm balanced output and the 3.5mm line output in tube mode as well, a function that was not available in the previous model.

Since the JAN6418 tubes used are extremely sensitive to radio interference, which negatively affects sound quality, the N3-Ultra was developed as a purist DAP without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth integration. Streaming is only possible here via the USB DAC. The result is a new dimension of sound purity.

With a battery life of up to 12 hours and a weight of only 200 grams, the N3-Ultra is ideal for on the go. The N3-Ultra combines advanced tube technology with user-friendliness and excellent sound quality, making it a highlight in Cayin's audiophile portfolio.
