Thanks to its innovative design, the N6iii allows the motherboard to be replaced in just a few simple steps. The user has the option to replace the entire audio circuit, from the DAC to the analog headphone amplifier.

The concept of a user-replaceable audio motherboard has since been adopted by other brands.

As such, we established two key design goals at the start of the N6iii project. First, despite the trend toward megasized DAPs, Cayin wanted to maintain the portability and ease of use of the N6ii. Second, we received a lot of feedback from N6ii users who wanted a tool-free quick-release mechanism so they could conveniently swap out the audio motherboard.

We realized both of these requirements in the N6iii design by developing a new quick-locking mechanism that requires no screws at all.

Cayin has removed all unnecessary structural extensions around the housing. The result? A front that consists harmoniously of a single, radiant screen! And what about the playback control buttons and volume knob? Cleverly hidden beneath the screen to maintain the elegance and slimness of the design. The curved sides improve grip and ensure that the device still sits comfortably in the hand, even with a slightly larger screen. Thus, the N6iii offers a superior viewing and control experience with dimensions that remain almost identical to its predecessor. In today's era of increasingly large DAPs, the N6iii retains its excellent portability.

The N6iii is a small technical masterpiece that fits effortlessly into any pocket. It is equipped with a 4.97-inch display, which is significantly larger than the 4.2-inch display of its predecessor, yet can still be comfortably operated with one hand.

Naturally, the N6iii has also been brought up to date in terms of main processor performance, memory, operating system, and many other improvements to meet the increasing demand for streaming services. The new model is powered by an octa-core X64 Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It also features 6GB of RAM. For music storage, there is naturally a memory card slot that can accommodate SD cards with a capacity of up to 2TB. This gives you enough storage space to keep your music ready at hand. Also worth mentioning is the new antenna design, which ensures minimal interference during analog audio processing.
