The Cayin RU9 is equipped with the Nutube 6P1 tube. The small DAC supports both unbalanced 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm PO/LO outputs. This flexibility allows you to optimally power your preferred headphones or speakers. A special highlight is the ability to switch between tube and solid-state operation. This ensures a personalized sound experience that perfectly adapts to your listening habits.

Three sound profiles to choose from: Classic, Modern, and Solid State

3. Classic: In this mode, global negative feedback is omitted; instead, local negative feedback is used. This technique results in higher total harmonic distortion (THD), creating a warm, nostalgic sound—the classic "tube sound" that music lovers appreciate.
4. Modern: This profile integrates global negative feedback to define the overall gain. THD is significantly reduced, leading to a harmonically cleaner and quieter background. Despite this clarity, the warmth of the tubes is preserved, creating a sweet, clear, and delicate modern tube audio signature.
5. Solid-state: Here, the RU9 relies on precisely tuned operational amplifier ICs and associated circuitry. This ensures a neutral tonality with fast transients and high-precision audio reproduction. Ideal for those who want to enjoy music in its original, unadulterated character.

Versatile application possibilities

Whether at home, in the office, or on the go—the Cayin RU9 adapts effortlessly to various usage scenarios. It offers support for a multitude of devices such as smartphones, computers, digital audio players, tablets, and even game consoles. This makes it a perfect choice for anyone looking to take their audio experience to the next level.

Dual AKM DAC & 16-core XMOS processor

The Cayin RU9 is equipped with two AKM AK4493SEQ DACs operating in mono mode. This configuration ensures outstanding channel separation and minimizes crosstalk between channels—a crucial advantage for an immersive listening experience.

Furthermore, the RU9 utilizes the powerful 16-core XMOS XU316 processor, representing the latest generation of USB audio solutions. This processor guarantees impressive digital signal processing and optimizes audio quality to the highest level.

Modern Bluetooth codecs

The RU9 uses advanced Qualcomm QCC5125 technology, which enables high-resolution Bluetooth transmission. It supports modern Bluetooth codecs such as LDAC and other HD streaming formats, meaning you can enjoy your music in the best quality—without the cable clutter. By supporting UAC1.0 (driverless) and UAC2.0 modes, compatibility with most devices is also ensured.

S/PDIF input/output

Another highlight of the Cayin RU9 is the integrated S/PDIF input/output. This allows for easy connection to other digital audio devices and ensures that you can unlock the full potential of your audio source. Whether streaming music or playing video games—the RU9 delivers a clear, detailed sound.

Regarding technical specifications, the Cayin RU9 impresses with compact dimensions of 100 x 70 x 15 mm and a weight of just 150 g.
