Chord Company ChordBurndy cables are available in custom lengths and a variety of configurations.

Each cable is handmade to order and uses the optimal signal/shielding system, consisting of silver-plated copper conductors, our flagship proprietary Taylon® insulation, an acoustic braid, and an anti-EMF braid, all protected by a black nylon outer jacket.

This project was a fascinating journey and particularly useful, as we use a Burndy-equipped Naim NAP 300 in our listening room.

We developed several prototypes and achieved immediate individual improvements. However, we wanted the Burndy cables to transform our system, so we employed our best materials and design techniques to create something that is superior in all areas and across all genres.

The biggest improvements were achieved by enhancing the conductor cross-section and shielding. e.g., for the Naim 500 series models, we increased the copper thickness to the maximum allowed by the larger pins.

Depending on your equipment combination, there can be between seven and nineteen internal wires. The ChordBurndy can be a time- and resource-intensive build, but the jump in performance is quite fundamental and therefore, in our opinion, justified. The various bespoke Burndys are available at different price points depending on the complexity and the number of wires required.
