The PowerHAUS S6 mains distribution block from Chord Company offers pure performance and reliability. Free from non-essential and potentially interference-causing components, it was developed to meet the requirements of our own demonstration room and is now available to discerning users worldwide.

High-quality materials and 40 years of hi-fi experience

The PowerHAUS S6 was designed using optimal materials and based on 40 years of experience in the hi-fi industry. Chord Company's unique ARAY technology minimizes high-frequency and ground noise. The mains distribution block offers protection against RFI through heavily shielded ARAY cabling and features a robust aluminum housing as well as a high-performance 16A power input. It complies with all power supply safety regulations and is available in versions for Europe, Great Britain, and Australia/New Zealand.

Decades of experience in signal and power transmission

The PowerHAUS mains distribution block is the result of decades of work with signal and power transmission and benefits from a unique version of the renowned ARAY technology (MainsARAY), which has been specifically adapted for power distribution.

Uncompromising components for the highest quality

Almost every component in the PowerHAUS is uncompromising and has been specifically manufactured for its intended purpose. Both the M6 and S6 models are unswitched and avoid filters and neon power indicators, which can generate noise and degrade quality. Their solid aluminum construction also minimizes unwanted microphonic effects.

High-quality cabling and sockets

The PowerHAUS blocks benefit from specially selected, high-quality, thick-walled cables and sockets, which were chosen not only for their reliability but also for their sound quality. A high-performance 16-ampere IEC input allows the PowerHAUS blocks to handle even the most demanding home audio systems.

Two performance levels: M6 and S6

Available in two performance levels, the flagship M6 (Master) and the entry-level S6 (Studio), the six-way PowerHAUS distribution devices are the result of one of the longest product development phases we have ever undertaken.

The flagship M6 offers the best performance and uses three hybrid MainsARAYs, which are installed in parallel (rather than in series) to the busbars to remove high-frequency noise while remaining outside the power circuit. Instead of being star-wired (which is susceptible to RFI), the cabling runs along three busbars, all of which are isolated from one another. The earth busbar is placed as far as possible from the live and neutral lines.

The S6 retains many of the core features of the flagship M6, yet is more affordable and represents a significant improvement over standard mains distribution blocks.
