It is the product of three decades of research, design and engineering right here in the UK and benefits from a true dual-mono construction with separate ultra-high-frequency power supplies for each channel, offering the best possible separation. With the addition of valuable low-noise circuitry, the noise floor performance is exceptional at over -117 dB.

With an imposing dual-height dimension, the ULTIMA PRE was created to perfectly complement the flagship ULTIMA mono power amplifier, while being the most advanced in the company's 30-year history. Featuring extensive inputs and outputs, including balanced connectivity, the ULTIMA PRE offers total flexibility for high-performance partnering equipment, further enhanced by the fascia-mounted separate frequency EQ adjustment controls for the left and right channels. Headphone outputs offer further flexibility for late-night and personal listening with style.

The ULTIMA PRE is hand-built at the factory in Kent, with each stage of construction and production meticulously overseen by a highly skilled technician. Sensitive internal circuitry is protected by a solid milled aluminium shield to prevent RF interference, and Chord Electronics' legendary aircraft-grade aluminium provides a solid and resonance-free housing for the electronics inside, complemented by the famous Integra Leg system.
