The Balance V2 is a high-quality phono preamplifier from Clearaudio, characterized by its versatility, precision, and sophisticated technical features. It was developed to unlock the full sonic potential of analog playback systems – without complex setup.

Support for both MM and MC cartridges makes the Balance V2 particularly flexible. Selection is conveniently made via switches on the bottom of the unit, allowing the preamplifier to be easily integrated into various setups.

Thanks to optimally tuned presets for input impedance and capacitance, the device operates at a very high level without the need for time-consuming fine-tuning. At the same time, with 46 dB (MM) and up to 66 dB (MC) of gain, the Balance V2 provides sufficient amplification even for low-output cartridges. Its linear frequency response ensures authentic and dynamic playback.

A switchable subsonic filter helps to effectively reduce low-frequency interference, such as that caused by warped records. This protects speakers and amplifiers and noticeably improves sound clarity.

An integrated headphone amplifier with a 6.3 mm jack allows for direct listening without additional components. The short signal path minimizes losses and provides an exceptionally clear and direct audio experience.

The precise RIAA equalization with a deviation of less than ±0.1 dB guarantees highly accurate reproduction of the original signal. High-quality, gold-plated RCA and XLR connectors ensure stable, low-loss signal transmission.

The concept is rounded off by a manual volume control with additional mute and automatic functions, a low-resonance aluminum housing, and an outboard power supply in a separate enclosure, which further minimizes interference.
