The Clearaudio Charisma V2 is the top model of the moving-magnet series from Clearaudio and marks the absolute pinnacle of what is currently possible with MM technology. It was developed to push sonic boundaries into realms traditionally reserved for high-end MC cartridges.

At its core is an extremely sophisticated technical design: The Charisma V2 uses a diamond-coated boron cantilever, the same as used in the reference MC cartridge, the Goldfinger Statement. In combination with a precisely manufactured Prime Line diamond cut, this enables exceptionally precise tracking of the record groove and thus a very high level of detail resolution.

The housing consists of hand-crafted ebony with a special metal inlay (nickel silver) that specifically reduces resonance. This results in a particularly quiet and stable sound image with high clarity.

Another feature is the very powerful magnets, which provide a comparatively high output voltage. This makes the cartridge highly compatible with many MM phono stages while simultaneously giving it distinct dynamics and assertiveness.

In terms of sound, the Charisma V2 is characterized by a combination of:

• extreme detail resolution and fine definition
• large, stable spatial imaging
• high dynamics and speed
• at the same time a musical, not overly analytical tuning

This makes it a cartridge for very high-end systems where the maximum is to be extracted from the MM principle.
