Clearaudio Professional Power 24V is a high-quality, transformer-based 24-volt power supply from the German high-end manufacturer Clearaudio. It was specially developed to improve the power supply for Ovation and Innovation series turntables, enabling cleaner, more stable motor control.

In terms of sound and technology, the power supply sits between the simple standard power supply and the more elaborate battery system (Smart Power). The goal is significantly improved power quality without the complexity of a battery system.

Through the use of a toroidal transformer, large filter capacitors, and discrete stabilization circuits, the voltage is provided very consistently. Interference from the power grid is effectively reduced, resulting in smoother motor operation for the turntable.

Mechanically, the device is designed so that vibrations and resonances are kept from being transmitted to the housing. This ensures the power supply remains as free from interference as possible, not just electrically, but mechanically as well.

Sonically, this more stable supply leads to improved dynamics, clearer structures, and an overall calmer, more controlled playback from the turntable.
