The Clearaudio Satisfy Kardan tonearm is a high-quality, classically gimbal-bearing tonearm designed for maximum stability and precise tracking. Unlike magnetically-bearing models such as the Verify or Clarify, the Satisfy relies on a precision mechanical bearing using extremely high-quality materials.

Vertical movement is handled by a polished tungsten shaft in a finely balanced sapphire bearing, while the horizontal bearings are crafted from high-strength ceramic material. This combination ensures very precise, play-free guidance of the tonearm, allowing for controlled and stable tracking even with demanding cartridges.

A special feature is the continuous direct wiring (Direct Wire), where the audio signal is carried without interruption from the cartridge to the phono preamplifier. This minimizes signal loss and ensures a particularly clean sound transmission.

The design is deliberately practical: the azimuth can be easily adjusted via the headshell, and the anti-skating is magnetically controlled and then locked in place. This combination of precision and simple adjustment makes the Satisfy Kardan particularly versatile.

In terms of sound, the tonearm is characterized by stable, controlled reproduction with good dynamics and clean bass management. Compared to magnetically-bearing arms, it often sounds a bit more "earthy" and robust, with greater mechanical composure and less sensitivity to external influences.
