The Clearaudio Stradivari V2 is a high-end moving-coil (MC) reference cartridge and is one of the brand's most sonically ambitious models below its absolute flagship series (such as the Goldfinger Statement). It was developed to achieve maximum dynamics, transparency, and musical coherence.

The cartridge takes its name from the famous Stradivari instruments and pursues the same aspiration: an extremely natural, finely resolved, yet powerful sound reproduction. Its construction and choice of materials are correspondingly uncompromising.

Inside, it features a highly precise MC system with a symmetrical coil arrangement made of 24-karat gold, combined with a boron cantilever and Micro-HD/Prime-Line diamond stylus. This allows for extremely accurate tracking of the record groove, resulting in high detail resolution, stable imaging, and very low distortion.

The housing is made of ebony wood seasoned for months with a metal inlay, which significantly reduces resonance and provides a calm, controlled sonic foundation. Despite its technical precision, the Stradivari V2 is not tuned to be purely analytical, but deliberately aims for a musical, organic reproduction.

In terms of sound, it is often described as:

• extremely balanced and "cohesive" in its soundstage
• very dynamic and lively
• with a wide soundstage and good depth layering
• simultaneously non-fatiguing and suitable for long-term listening

It is considered an MC system that appeals equally to analytical and musical listeners, and is already regarded in many setups as an endgame cartridge.
