The Clearaudio Talisman V2 Gold is a high-quality moving-coil (MC) cartridge from the V2 generation and belongs to the upper entry-level class of Clearaudio's high-end MC world. It was developed to provide a very precise, dynamic, and at the same time musically balanced reproduction.

In terms of construction, the Talisman V2 Gold relies on a symmetrical 8-magnet arrangement and coils made of 24-karat gold wire, which enables highly efficient signal transmission and high dynamics. Combined with the boron cantilever and the Micro HD diamond stylus, this results in very accurate tracking of the record groove with high detail resolution and low distortion.

The housing is made of hand-polished ebony and is additionally internally resonance-damped. This creates a calm sonic foundation with a clear structure and good spatial imaging.

Tonally, the Talisman V2 Gold is often described as:
