The Clearaudio TT1 MI is a high-end reference linear tracking arm, developed to play back records without tracking error exactly as they were cut.

In contrast to traditional tonearms, the TT1 moves linearly across the record, rather than in a circular arc. This keeps the tracking angle constant and virtually eliminates distortions caused by geometric errors.

The design is based on a purely mechanical, passive guidance system within a precision-engineered glass tube system. The tonearm "floats" on an extremely finely tuned bearing and roller mechanism and is guided by the geometry itself – without motor control.

The TT1 MI (Master Innovation Version) is a specially adapted variant for specific Clearaudio turntables such as the Master Innovation and Innovation, with optimized mounting height and integration into these platforms.

Within the Clearaudio product line, it is considered a statement tonearm of the absolute reference class.
