The Clearaudio TT3 in the Silver Wire version represents the most sonically sophisticated variant of this tangential tonearm. While the basic design remains identical—a purely mechanical linear-tracking tonearm with glass guidance and practically eliminated tracking error—the crucial difference lies in the internal wiring.

Instead of standard or Super Sixstream cables, high-purity silver wiring is used here. Silver possesses an even higher electrical conductivity than copper, thereby enabling particularly low-loss signal transmission—a relevant factor, especially with the extremely small voltages of an MC cartridge.

The TT3 itself operates entirely passively and moves via a precise ball-bearing system along a polished glass tube. This construction ensures nearly frictionless guidance and very stable tracking without additional mechanical interference.

Due to the tangential guidance, the tracking error is practically eliminated entirely, as is anti-skating. The result is a very clean, low-distortion playback across the entire side of the record.

The Silver Wire version is clearly aimed at uncompromising high-end applications where every detail of signal transmission is to be optimized.
