Copland CSA150 – High-End Hybrid Integrated Amplifier with 150 Watts of Power

The Copland CSA150 is the current flagship model of the CSA series and an uncompromising high-end hybrid integrated amplifier from Denmark. It combines the musical sound characteristics of a tube preamplifier with the high control and power of modern transistor technology. It is aimed at discerning music lovers who are looking for maximum sound quality, high power reserves, and a modern variety of connections in a single device.

At the heart of the CSA150 is a double triode tube stage (6922), which is responsible for the typical warm, natural Copland sound. This is connected to the powerful output stage via MOSFET buffers, resulting in a particularly stable, dynamic, and at the same time highly detailed playback. The amplifier is capable of controlling even demanding loudspeakers with ease and delivers a very clean and structured soundstage, even at high volume levels.

The output stage is designed as a high-performance current-feedback architecture, providing significantly more power than the nominal values suggest. The concept is complemented by a large, generously dimensioned power supply with a toroidal transformer, as well as a separate, stabilized power supply for critical amplifier stages. As a result, the sound remains stable and free of coloration, even under heavy load.

Technically, the CSA150 is also fully up to date. An integrated high-end DAC based on the ESS Sabre 32-bit chip processes high-resolution digital signals, while numerous analog and digital inputs allow for flexible integration into modern hi-fi systems. In addition, an MM phono input for turntables and a high-quality headphone amplifier are also available.

Visually, Copland remains true to its clear, Scandinavian design language. The solid aluminum front, the symmetrical control layout, and the high-quality dials underscore the premium standards of this amplifier.
