TV screens are becoming ever thinner, and unfortunately, this also affects sound quality. Adding an external soundbar is therefore a sensible solution to improve the sound of your TV. However, finding a soundbar that offers both excellent sound and an exceptional design is not quite so simple.

The DALI KATCH ONE combines superior hi-fi sound quality with a fresh, bold look. With ten (!) integrated speaker drivers, the KATCH ONE moves a large amount of air. An amplifier with a generous 4 x 50 watts of output power generates the sound pressure required for an impressive TV or home cinema experience, even in larger living rooms.

The fabric cover of the KATCH ONE was chosen for its very good acoustic properties, which ensure that the sound passes through without losing energy or detail. In addition to its elegant appearance, the fabric also helps the KATCH ONE blend easily into the room's decor.

An important part of the visual design is the KATCH ONE's three mounting options:
- First, the soundbar can be elegantly hung on the wall using two leather straps. The connection cables remain invisible, hidden behind the speaker.
- With the keyhole mounts recessed into the rear, you can also easily hang the KATCH ONE on the wall in tight spaces.
- Placing the KATCH ONE on a shelf or sideboard is possible with the included real wood feet. These feet fit perfectly with the overall look of the KATCH ONE and decouple the soundbar from the surface, which minimizes unwanted vibrations and gives the KATCH ONE a lighter, floating appearance.

CABINET

Both the cabinet and the front baffle of the KATCH ONE are molded from a glass-fiber reinforced ABS compound. This material provides the drivers with optimal working conditions, featuring optimized airflow, a wide stereo panorama, and a soundstage directed at the listener. ABS forms the basis for an extremely rigid structure, ensuring that no unwanted resonances occur within the cabinet construction due to driver movement, which could lead to distortion of the audio signal.

All inputs and outputs are located in a recess on the back of the cabinet. This keeps the plugs out of sight and allows for easy access to the cables, which can be routed out of the cabinet either upwards or downwards.

Both the fixed grille on the back of the KATCH ONE and the front baffle feature built-in airflow guides for optimal emission of the audio signal. Since the woofers are mounted on both the front and back of the KATCH ONE, controlling and optimizing airflow is very important. The rear woofers are designed to use the wall for the even radiation of low frequencies. Likewise, the front woofers are surrounded by a sound guide in the baffle to ensure optimal sound radiation.

CONNECTIONS

Five different audio inputs allow the KATCH ONE to be connected to any audio source – including wireless streaming from your smartphone or tablet. There are four alternatives available just for connecting to your TV. Furthermore, the KATCH ONE features automatic signal detection on all inputs and switches on automatically when you turn on your TV or audio source.

HDMI
The HDMI (ARC) input on the KATCH ONE is a dedicated audio input. The HDMI connection supports the use of the TV remote control to adjust volume, mute, and power on/off.

2 OPTICAL DIGITAL INPUTS
The automatic power-on function for the dedicated TV input is activated by the TV's optical output. This ensures that the KATCH ONE is switched on and ready for operation as soon as the TV is turned on. The second optical input is intended for connecting audio devices such as CD players and music streamers. This input allows for automatic power-on and power-off based on the audio signal – meaning the automation works even if the audio device does not turn off the carrier signal in standby mode.

BLUETOOTH®
The KATCH ONE supports Bluetooth® AAC and aptX™, enabling completely wireless music streaming from your phone, tablet, and other Bluetooth® sources.

ANALOG INPUT
The stereo mini-jack input on the KATCH ONE allows for an analog connection to your TV, phone, tablet, or PC.

SUBWOOFER OUTPUT
When a subwoofer is connected, all deep bass signals are routed by the DSP directly to the subwoofer output. This relieves the KATCH ONE from reproducing low frequencies, allowing it to play even cleaner and louder.

USB SERVICE/POWER
The built-in USB port can power your tablet or Google Chromecast Audio (CCA), but does not allow for music playback. Using a CCA allows the KATCH ONE to connect to your home network and gain access to numerous streaming services.

SPEAKER DRIVERS

The KATCH ONE features no fewer than 10 built-in speaker drivers, which are perfectly matched to the powerful 4 x 50 W amplifier and ensure powerful and balanced reproduction of both film soundtracks and any type of music. Six drivers are driven directly by the amplifier, while four serve as additional, passively excited membrane surfaces for more dynamic and deeper bass reproduction.

TWEETERS
While the 21 mm ultra-light dome tweeters are extremely compact, their large membrane surface ensures that the frequency response of the drivers extends well into the mid-frequency range. Strong neodymium magnets ensure high power handling and good efficiency.

WOOFERS
These specially developed drivers work with an inverted membrane and a special suspension. As a result, the particularly slim woofers have a maximum excursion similar to a traditional woofer of the same size. In this way, the KATCH ONE offers powerful low-frequency reproduction without the DSP needing to unnaturally boost bass levels.

The outward-facing cone consists of an aluminum membrane with a soft fabric dust cap. The rigid aluminum membrane allows the woofer to move as much air as possible even in the mid-frequency range, and the combination of aluminum and fabric provides lower surface resonances and extremely detailed reproduction.

PASSIVE RADIATORS
The four large passive radiators are perfectly matched to the four active woofers and deliver surprisingly powerful bass reproduction, especially when watching movies. Their power is sufficient to convincingly fill even larger living rooms with sound. For an even more intense bass experience, a separate active subwoofer can also be connected.
