A few years ago, Dan Clark Audio released its first electrostatic headphone, the Voce, which won a slew of awards. Now it was time to further evolve this principle. Utilizing the knowledge gained from the development of its two magnetostatic "sisters," the Stealth and the Expanse, DCA has now introduced Meta-Material for the "Corina" electrostatic headphone. This material ensures that the frequency response is controlled without losing too much energy to damping materials, while precisely correcting individual areas of the spectrum to just the right degree. This enables a much freer, more effortless reproduction. Seamless bass, completely liberated midrange, and the finest high-frequency representation are thus made possible.
Corina's 88-millimeter driver has been given a new suspension system that allows for a more stable and uniform mounting of the diaphragm. The drivers are, of course, precisely matched to one another to achieve the best possible soundstage and tonality. This naturally also includes new, adapted synthetic leather ear pads that offer high wearing comfort without "hot spots."
The Corina's connection is compatible with all STAX amplifiers, as well as, of course, models from MalValve, HeadAmp, or Soreal.
