The idea

… was to build upon the findings from the development of the Blackbird and further refine the concepts applied there. Two tonearms were a given, but it was essential that two 12-inch arms could be mounted in parallel. Furthermore, a further simplification of the turntable's operation was important to us. Both visually and sonically, this turntable sets a new reference point in our product line.

The mission

… was not just to tweak the electronics that had been pushed to their limits with the Woodpecker and Blackbird – no, we developed them from the ground up. Not only did we switch to a more modern hardware base, we also rewrote the control software from scratch, prioritizing multi-motor operation.

This technology has also been integrated into the Woodpecker and Blackbird. We chose what we believe is the only sensible geometric arrangement for three motors – the equilateral triangle. With the smaller Blackbird, we were already able to demonstrate that the sound is positively influenced by relieving tension on the platter bearing, by eliminating unwanted motor forces acting upon the bearing. The triangular arrangement also geometrically stabilizes the platter. This prevents any tendency for wobbling and, in combination with our completely newly developed bearing, reduces rumble to an absolute minimum. The new bearing is significantly stiffer, harder, and features an 80% reduced contact surface, resulting in greatly diminished friction values – ideal for excellent speed stability …

The result

… visual elegance and clean lines, paired with excellent measured values. Simple handling meets timelessness, as we have also integrated the alignment protractor already known from the Blackbird into the Firebird. You can adjust your tonearm and cartridge in the simplest way possible and will be amazed at how easy it is. Furthermore, we have also further refined our armboard system, which makes the adjustment even more precise.

The sound

… tranquility pairs with dynamics, power meets neutrality.
The Firebird will offer you maximum listening pleasure from every conceivable arm/cartridge combination. You can sit back and relax, with the certainty that nothing is being withheld from you …

Leave the technical discussions behind you and focus on the music!

Let yourself be enchanted …
