Building on Dynavector's "dispersion theory," which produced the original, world-first KARAT series, Dynavector is indeed proud to announce the all-new 17DX KARAT Diamond cartridge. As with the previous KARAT series, the frequency response of the new KARAT 17DX is flat from 20 to 20,000 Hz and offers extremely accurate groove-tracking capability. However, several new features will ensure that the new 17DX will soon achieve the same legendary status and soon surpass its predecessors.

The basic concept for the new KARAT 17DX was to significantly improve upon the now legendary original KARAT series. After thorough listening and technical research, the decision was made to incorporate a solid brass body, samarium-cobalt magnets for lower magnetic resistance, unsurpassed coil winding techniques, and the incredible 1.7 mm long cantilever with a Micro-Ridge stylus, all in a brand-new KARAT 17DX that will thrill the listener by offering a clear and articulate reproduction of analog recordings without a hint of harshness in the high-frequency range.
