Individually tuned sound with Ferrum Sweet Spot Tuning

The GoldenSound Edition Gen 2 has been completely redesigned and features three advanced sound technologies: Impact+, Tube Mode, and Spatial Enhancement. All functions have been optimized with the new Ferrum Sweet Spot Tuning, allowing for exceptionally precise personalization without compromising naturalness or musical balance.

Gen 2 Impact+ – Precise bass control

With the new Impact+ technology, the low-frequency range can be adjusted more flexibly than ever before. Seven different sound profiles – including Reference, Smooth, Kick+, DD-Comp, and Subbass – do not just change the frequency response; they also account for the behavior of dynamic drivers for a particularly natural bass reproduction.

The intensity can be infinitely adjusted from 10% to 130%. This allows the sound image to range from subtle bass support to powerful low-frequency reproduction – always controlled, precise, and musical.

Gen 2 Tube Mode – Analog tube sound without the tubes

The completely redesigned Tube Mode simulates the characteristic sound of legendary tube amplifiers without their typical drawbacks like heat generation or maintenance requirements.

Five classic tube characteristics are available to choose from:

• EL34

• KT88

• 300B

• 2A3

• 7062

Harmonic modeling extends to the 7th harmonic and can be adjusted between 10% and 200%. This creates a pleasantly warm, natural sound with authentic tube characteristics without sacrificing resolution or detail.

Improved spatial imaging with Spatial Enhancement Gen 2

Spatial sound imaging has also been completely redeveloped. The optimized Spatial Enhancement creates a significantly larger and more realistic soundstage – both for headphones and loudspeakers.

Newly added is Transient Compensation (T-Comp), which reduces high-frequency artifacts and enables more precise localization of individual instruments. The result is a holographic, stable, and natural 3D sound presentation.

Maximum signal quality without compromise

The WANDLA GoldenSound Edition Gen 2 offers significantly increased digital headroom, reliably preventing intersample clipping even with high-resolution recordings. This is complemented by hardware-based output voltage switching to just under 4 Vrms or 10 Vrms, allowing the DAC to be optimally matched to a wide variety of amplifiers – without digital attenuation or additional components in the signal path.

Reference technology for the highest demands

Inside works the proven ESS Sabre ES9038PRO DAC, which unfolds its full potential through Ferrum's fully balanced signal architecture. This is complemented by custom-developed Signalyst digital filters, designed exclusively for the WANDLA to allow for exceptionally precise signal processing.

In addition to the ESS filters, several specially tuned Signalyst filters are available, offering different sound characteristics and undergoing continuous development.
