The Focal Mu-so Hekla is a new high-end all-in-one system from Focal and Naim Audio, specifically developed for immersive home cinema and music playback. Unlike traditional soundbars, the Hekla combines a complete 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos system with audiophile music streaming in a single enclosure.

Inside, 15 speaker drivers work with a total of 660 watts of amplifier power. The drivers are positioned on the front, sides, and top, creating a spatial 3D sound without the need for additional rear speakers. Focal and Naim utilize their joint streaming and amplifier platform, including "ADAPT" room correction, streaming via AirPlay 2, Chromecast, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, as well as HDMI eARC for TV connectivity.

Visually, the Hekla follows the minimalist Mu-so design, featuring a solid aluminum housing, an illuminated volume ring, and finely perforated metal grilles. The name "Hekla" is derived from the Icelandic volcano of the same name and is intended to symbolize the power and dynamics of the system.

Technically, the Hekla is currently one of the most powerful premium all-in-one systems on the market, competing against models such as the Sennheiser Ambeo Max, Devialet Dione, or Bang & Olufsen Beosound Theatre. Initial impressions from CES 2026 and the HiFi community highlight its exceptional speech intelligibility, strong music reproduction, and very broad Atmos soundstage as particular strengths.
