The open black walnut housing of the TH616 is a real eye-catcher - Japanese aesthetics combined with exceptional sound qualities. With its powerful 50mm "Bio-Dyna" driver (1 Tesla), it performs at the same high level as the closed-back TH-610 variant, thus joining the ranks of Fostex's high-end headphones.

The low-repulsion synthetic leather ear pads are durable and extremely comfortable to wear. The Hi-FC copper cable is detachable and can optionally be replaced with a balanced cable of comparable purity. In this way, the cable, along with the gold-plated connector, contributes to the open stereo image, detailed resolution, and transparent sound profile.
