The Fostex TH808 is a premium headphone based on Fostex's open-back flagship model, the TH909. It utilizes the same drivers with a modified tuning, housed in a high-quality solid black walnut enclosure with etched dual-layer aluminum accents.

Fostex TH900-series drivers
The 50mm 'Biodyna' diaphragms developed by Fostex blend biocellulose fibers with various other materials to create a diaphragm with a low specific gravity. Combined with a powerful neodymium magnet circuit with a magnetic flux density of 1.5 Tesla, the TH808 offers you superior dynamics and the excellent sound typical of Fostex. The low diaphragm weight and high magnetic flux density give the TH808 an extremely detailed resolution and micro-dynamics with an exceptionally dynamic soundstage in the lower frequency ranges.

Sophisticated open-back enclosure made of solid black walnut and aluminum

The ear cups, crafted from solid black walnut, are characterized by a distinctive design. The etched dual-layer metal grilles are not only eye-catching but also sonically beneficial due to their low-resonance design, offering different color impressions depending on the angle of light and the viewing angle.

Standard 4N OFC oxygen-free copper cable
The oxygen-free copper cable on the TH808 is detachable and can optionally be replaced with a balanced cable. Together with the rhodium-plated connectors, the cable contributes to an open stereo image, detailed resolution, and a transparent soundstage.

Maximum wearing comfort with low-resilience urethane pads
Excellent wearing comfort is guaranteed by the low-resilience urethane pads, which are contoured to the shape of the head and covered in soft synthetic leather, as well as the comfortable and flexible headband.
