The TH-900mk2 expands the range of Fostex's closed-back reference headphones, the TH-900, which caused a great sensation in HiFi circles upon its release. Equipped with 50mm 'Biodyna' diaphragms and a powerful neodymium motor with a magnetic flux density of 1.5 Tesla (15,000 Gauss), the TH-900 headphones offer superior dynamics and excellent sound.

The housing, made of Japanese cherry birch, is finished in traditional Japanese handicraft using "Urushi" lacquer: elaborate silver foil inlay work and continuous hand-polishing until the jewel is finally adorned with the platinum Fostex logo and subjected to a final drying process.

Excellent wearing comfort is guaranteed by the newly developed, ergonomically shaped ear pads (around-ear) made of innovative protein leather, as well as the comfortable and flexible headband.

The oxygen-free copper cable (7N OFC -> 99.99999%) on the TH-900 mk2 is detachable and can be optionally replaced with a balanced cable of comparable purity. Thus, together with the gold-plated plug, the cable contributes to an open stereo image, detailed resolution, and a transparent sound profile.
