Since its market launch in 2012, the TH900 series has been the flagship of Fostex, delighting many audio enthusiasts with the outstanding sound quality of its unique BioDyna driver and the incomparable texture of its beautifully lacquered housing. The TH910/TH919 adopt these strengths of the TH900 series while being redesigned from the ground up, from the driver to the housing and the overall construction, in order to form the next generation.


● Newly developed 50mm BioDyna driver

The BioDyna driver, which has been highly praised for its high resolution and extremely balanced sound quality, has been significantly improved. The newly developed surround improves amplitude stability and allows for precise and clearly defined low frequencies without excessive excursion.

Furthermore, unwanted resonances are suppressed, thereby avoiding distortion from noise and achieving a natural and balanced midrange. Enjoy high-resolution, clear, and balanced sound quality that maintains volume dynamics and richness of tone, with precise bass, transparent and clear mids, and brilliant highs that reproduce every detail of the music.


● Use of mechanical parts made of lightweight magnesium alloy

A revised design using magnesium alloy for mechanical parts such as the housing base plate and the hanger contributes to a weight reduction of 20% compared to aluminum. Rubber dampers are used for the swivel mechanism to eliminate excessive vibrations as much as possible. The design concept, in which every detail of every part has been considered, has further improved wearing comfort.


● Housing made of solid maple wood with traditional Japanese "Urushi" lacquer

The housing made of solid maple wood features a finish independently developed by Sakamoto Otozo Shoten Co., Ltd., a company founded in 1900 (Meiji 33) that integrates traditional Japanese craftsmanship into industrial products. The "foil pattern," in which black lacquer is used as a base layer and sulfur-smoked silver foil is torn into pieces and applied like a collage, conveys a sense of luxury and depth. The solid and high-density hardwood in combination with the hard lacquer finish adds no unnecessary coloration to the sound, allowing you to enjoy a solid, deep bass range and a clear, wide treble range. The open-back TH919 uses aluminum with a matte anodized finish based on a geometric pattern inspired by "Kumiko" woodwork on the housing opening, a precise two-layer structure with laser-cut grille processing, and meticulous adjustment of the opening ratios and internal components, thereby reproducing a natural sound field with high resolution and minimal listener fatigue, as is befitting an open-back design.


● Newly shaped ear pads with new materials

The new ear pads feature a beveled surface that ensures an optimal fit. The internal elastic urethane consists of two layers, with the outer layer being soft and the inner layer being highly flexible to conform to the shape of the head. Furthermore, the use of silk protein synthetic leather, which is three times more durable than conventional materials, ensures high comfort even during extended listening.


● Flexibly adjustable head pad and headband

The head pad and headband are made of natural sheepskin and offer a supple and comfortable fit.


● Includes a proprietary high-purity OFC unbalanced 2-pin 3.5mm Y-cable.

For the internal wiring and the included unbalanced cable, we have used 7N (99.99999%) grade (Oxygen Free Copper) that has been refined to the extreme to eliminate impurities and improve transmission capacity. Furthermore, there are plans to launch a 4.4mm balanced cable (ETTH4.4BL2Y).
