Introducing the most versatile high-performance multi-channel amplifiers on the market - the Hegel C5 series. The C5 is available in 3 different versions, tailored to your needs. You can have it as a 3-channel, 4-channel, or 5-channel configuration. This means you can build a 5.1 or Atmos cinema with one or more C5s. Perhaps you want to bi-amp speakers or use active crossovers? You could also use it to power multiple speakers in a mastering studio, a restaurant, or a home. In short, anywhere you need high-performance sound with dynamics and extremely low distortion.

As flexible as it is, the C5 amplifier series still retains the full Hegel sound. The C5 uses the patented SoundEngine2 technology with its many benefits. One of these is the ability for low-bias operation, meaning the high-performance Class A/B amplifiers do not get as warm as usual, which allows for installation in a 19" rack. Another advantage of the SoundEngine2 is the very high damping factor (more than 2000). A high damping factor means deep, rich bass and complete control over the woofers. This is one of the reasons people talk about the dynamic Hegel sound. But the most important thing is the low distortion. Hegel's patented SoundEngine2 amplifiers work almost like noise-canceling headphones. All distortion created within the amplifier circuitry is dynamically eliminated by playing it back in negative phase. No matter how you configure the C5 series, it delivers a spectacular soundstage. Never harsh or unpleasant. Always natural, smooth, and with incredible dynamics.

The versatility goes beyond the number of audio channels and usage options. The ability to toggle the phase for each channel individually or choose between different gain settings for each channel makes it so much easier to integrate into a larger system. The trigger input and output (allowing for daisy-chaining) mean you can place it in a separate room and not worry about turning it on or off. The C55 is 3U high and features massive rack-mount ears that are an integrated part of the amplifier chassis. When installing in a rack, we recommend a 1u space above and below. There are also adjustable and detachable ears for rear mounting. If you choose not to install it in a rack, feet are included in the accessory box. This means that the C5 series can fit into any application.
