Bernd Ahne of HiFi-Tuning enjoys focusing on the subject of power. And even more so, the sonic effects of materials. His years of experience with these topics have now flowed into his new UNLIMITED power cable. For this, Ahne uses pure silver plugs and is likely the only manufacturer crazy enough to have a proprietary Schuko plug custom-made for the comparatively small European market. Perhaps he gave this to himself for the company's 20th anniversary, just like the cable itself.

Bernd Ahne reveals little about the conductor material used. What he does let slip is that it is a specially coated copper that does not oxidize. He has chosen a solid cross-section of 5 millimeters per conductor path. Three strands are enclosed by a sturdy braided sleeve with gold and silver stripes. Each cable is cryogenically treated ten times at HiFi-Tuning in Berlin to completely eliminate material stress.

The UNLIMITED is one of the less flexible power cables, so the corresponding wall outlet should not be located too far to the side of the system, otherwise it could twist the hi-fi component on the shelf.

The cable is supplied as standard in a length of 1.8 meters; 1.2 or 2.4 meters are also possible. It is manufactured in Germany and delivered by hand in a transport case with an individual certificate of authenticity for each cable.

Bernd Ahne is, of course, of the opinion that the UNLIMITED is superior to the best cables in the world. It makes high-class components even better.
