Bernd Ahne of HiFi-Tuning has spent a very long time thinking about the influence of fuse holders in the fuse box on optimal sound. After all, the entire power supply of the hi-fi system must pass through this bottleneck. There is therefore hardly any other point that can so easily enable an upgrade of the system sound. The production of a completely proprietary fuse holder with all its certifications is illusory for a small company. Ahne therefore looked for a large Asian supplier who was willing to get involved in the extraordinary demands of HiFi-Tuning, as long as they were paid in advance.

The result of this collaboration is a black fuse holder with an rather unusual interior. This begins with the internally installed non-magnetic stainless steel screws and continues with conductor paths made of pure copper, which is additionally silver-plated, copper-plated, and gold-plated. This seemingly absurd level of effort is undertaken to achieve permanently stable conductivity far superior to brass.

In Berlin, the fuse holder is cryogenically treated in a nitrogen bath. Strictly speaking, there are even a few further work steps afterwards, which, however, remain Bernd Ahne's trade secret in order to prevent copycat products. The fuse holder accommodates Supreme³ fuses in the 10.3 x 38 mm format with up to 32 A. It is recommended to wipe their caps clean of finger grease with a dry cloth before insertion.

In households, 16 A fuses are typically used.

The neutral compartment of the double version contains a solid 10.3 x 38 mm copper rod, which is silver-plated/copper-plated and gold-plated in 3 stages. From a purely sonic perspective, it is recommended to use a 32 A fuse in the 10.3 x 38 mm format instead of the copper rod.
