V5 AQUARIUS
The original Aquarius was one of the most cost-effective power conditioners for high-end audio systems. The new V5 model takes the Aquarius concept to a higher level. Due to a 35% increase in copper weight in the PCB tracks, the maximum amperage has been significantly increased, while the DC resistance has been improved by at least 25%, approaching the ideal of zero ohms. Surge protection has been increased to 81,000 A. This six-way conditioner thus redefines the market standard. There are two high-current outlets for amplifiers, active subwoofers, etc., while four further outlets are intended for less power-hungry source components. Each of the 6 outlets has its own dedicated filter network—effectively six components in one box!

The iconic Aquarius has been dramatically improved and boldly redesigned. The V5 model is not only aesthetically state-of-the-art, appearing as if created from a single block of aluminum, but it also features the latest technical innovations from the leading brand in the specialized field of power supply systems for audio and AV systems.

The V5 Aquarius is an innovative mains filter and power distributor with a width of 450 mm, a depth of 350 mm, and a height of 110 mm. It features 6 independent outlets, each with its own dedicated filter network. Thus, the Aquarius offers six power filters in one box. Both differential mode and common mode interference are drastically reduced. Cross-contamination between connected components is also minimized by the separate filter stages for each output socket. Most power filters of this type have interconnected, series-connected outlets. This is a flaw and not particularly clever, as the differential mode interference generated by the connected electronics then overlaps from one output socket to another.

The electrical architecture and design of the V5 Aquarius have been drastically improved. PCB design and topology have been revised to offer over 35% improved current capacity and lower resistance. Critical (bespoke) components have lower tolerances and thus lower inductance with improved current handling. The new circuit offers twice the inductance while increasing current capacity by 40%, leading to a more open soundstage, micro-dynamics, and details with improved timing. A dramatically improved DC resistance (DCR) has been created throughout the design. IsoTek's goal here was to reduce DCR and bring performance closer to the zero-ohm ideal; in this regard, the V5 Aquarius has been improved by at least 25% compared to its predecessor.

These technological advances mean that the V5 Aquarius provides higher absolute power, within the limits of what the utility company can deliver and regulations allow.

The V5 design features two thermomagnetic fuses, one 16 A for the two high-current output sockets, which deliver 3,680 W at 230 V or 1,840 W at 115 V. The second is 6 A for the four remaining output sockets, which deliver 1,380 W at 230 V or 690 W at 115 V. These are intended for source components/preamplifiers and feature IsoTek's unique ADAPTIVE GATING© TECHNOLOGY. This automatically detects the connected load and achieves an optimal degree of filtering based on power consumption.

The thermomagnetic system is a significant improvement over a standard fuse due to the contact area. Because of their electrical function, a standard fuse must have a very thin wire; this also applies to expensive audiophile gold-plated versions. IsoTek's thermomagnetic fuse system offers at least 1,000 times better contact area and a consistently strong connection.

KERP© (Kirchhoff’s Equal Resistance Path) ensures equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. The internal wiring is of the highest standard—using high-purity, silver-plated Ohno Continuous Cast solid core copper strands, ensuring low resistance and the transmission of high currents. The conductor is first surrounded by a spiral of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), then protected by an extruded FEP dielectric, creating a virtual air dielectric (VDA). This construction of the EVO3 Aquarius offers unparalleled performance and represents the ultimate power supply system. A sequential protection system of up to 81,000 A also safely protects your valuable equipment from power surges and voltage spikes.

The internal wiring of IsoTek products is matched to IsoTek power cables. By maintaining commonalities in construction and material properties, optimal conductivity is guaranteed.

Furthermore, you will also find a System Link connection on the back of the V5 Aquarius; this allows for the expansion of the existing 6 outlets while maintaining star-ground wiring when using only one wall socket for the entire system.
